Pastor Steve became our Senior Pastor in June 2005. He and his wife Tammy are Western New York natives who were married after graduating from Houghton College together, and they have lived in Erie County ever since. They have three young children whom they love and cherish: Hannah, Matt, and John. They love southern Erie County, and could not think of a better place for their children to grow up than in this church and the North Collins community.

Pastor Steve was raised in a stable, loving, Christian home. Although he knew about the Lord, he did not truly surrender his life to the Lord until the age of 16. He sensed that God was calling him into full-time ministry shortly thereafter, and has served in the ministry since 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Houghton College (Houghton, NY), and a Master of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary (Rochester, NY). Prior to coming to North Collins Wesleyan the Dunmires served a congregation on Buffalo’s East Side which, growing from 25 to 100 in average attendance in just three years under their care, as well as providing meaningful services to the surrounding community. Pastor Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing the guitar, golfing, reading, and is an avid Bills and Sabres fan.

Clark Phillips
Assistant Pastor
Clark became Assistant to the Pastor in September 2006. Clark and Sue Phillips have been a part of the North Collins community for decades, and recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They spent six years serving as missionaries in Romania and, as a part of their involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers, Clark and Sue have organized an evangelistic ministry annually at the Erie County Fair. His responsibilities include visiting shut-ins, visitors, etc., for helping to lead discipleship programs, for coordinating short-term missions trips for our church, and helping where needed.

Tammy Dunmire
Youth & Christian Education Director

Tammy became our Youth & Christian Education Director in September 2006. Tammy comes from a family that has faithfully served the Lord in ministry: Tammy’s grandparents, parents, and siblings are also ordained. Tammy is a Western New York native, and she met her husband, Steve, while they were students Houghton College. Their three young children (Hannah, Matt, and John) keep her busy, but she loves absolutely adores them.

Tammy has a long history of serving effectively in teens and children, and served most recently as an Associate Pastor for three years at the Dunmires former church in the city of Buffalo. Tammy has responsibility for the Youth Group first and foremost (essentially serving as the Youth Pastor), but also helps to oversee and assist with our children’s ministry. Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband and children, sewing, quilting, and reading.
